Been through a couple of job interviews lately. It used to be that Sharepoint Administrators were in such demand that all I had to do is entertain offers and pick the best. Not too many candidates had the needed skills and experience, so it was a seller's market. Now every Newbie who's helped an end user with his Sharepoint login credentials calls himself an "Administrator".
Going through this process reminded me of an article I read a while back on Job Interviews and my comment on it. Sometimes, it's not about whether you can do the job or not, it's more about you fitting a certain profile (ethnic, racial or religious) that the hiring manager is looking for.
